The Universal In-Line Bacterial Filter serves as an exit filter.
It is put between the machine's exit and the hose/tubing. This filter does not fit between a CPAP machine and a heated hose.
If using a heated hose, place the bacteria filter between the mask and the hose. It is intended to filter the air that exits the machine before it reaches your mask.
This additional filter, when used in conjunction with your machine's pollen and particle filters, helps to ensure that the air you receive through your mask is as pure and clean as possible.
This filter may affect the capacity of any Auto Adjusting CPAP to accurately respond to airflow constraints while in use.
If the average treatment pressure is less than 7cm H2O, it should not be used. The product should be replaced every thirty days.
NOTE: Using the Bacteria Filter with an Auto CPAP is not suggested since it may interfere with the APAP's ability to produce the correct pressure owing to airflow limitation.
